Why is the gas fee different on different networks?

Each blockchain prices block space on its own, and the fee rises and falls with how busy the chain is. The same stablecoin transfer can cost very little on a low-fee chain like Tron or Solana and noticeably more on a congested one. That is why a payer is often given a choice of network — the gas fee is part of what makes one rail cheaper than another for a given payment.
