FAQ

What is the payout approval gate?

The payout approval gate is the deliberate pause between drafting a withdrawal and sending it. When you create a payout, halfin reserves the funds and places it in a pending_approval state — nothing is signed and nothing touches the network. An operator with payout permissions then reviews the amount and destination in the dashboard and releases it; only after that release does halfin sign the transaction and broadcast it on-chain. The gate exists because on-chain transfers are irreversible: it is the last point at which a wrong amount or a mistaken destination can be caught before the money is gone.
